While there was no difference between the groups in terms of IL-33 levels (p> 0.05), TF levels of diabetic obese group were statistically significantly higher than control group (p <0.05). HDL levels of the obese and diabetic obese groups were significantly lower than control group, and triglyceride, glucose, insulin, C-reactive protein (CRP), hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), and HOMA-IR levels were significantly higher (p <0.05). A positive correlation was found between TF activity, and HbA1c and glucose levels (p <0.05). This suggests that TF may be predictive for diabetes which develop in the background of obesity, and that TF can be used as a prognostic value for diabetes.
