The influence of drug content (X1) and polymer content (X2) on physicochemical properties of the microspheres viz. Encapsulation efficiency (EE) and time for 70% drug dissolution (t70) was investigated by using 32 factorial design. The microspheres were smooth, spherical in shape and free flowing with particle size ranges from 18 μm to 27 μm. The results of multiple linear regression analysis revealed that for obtaining controlled drug release with high EE, the microspheres should be prepared using relatively lower levels of drug and higher levels of polymer.
